Avery: "No, my minute is down."
Mommy smiles.

Avery: "I want Dr. Johnson to make YOU feel better."
Mommy smiles.

Avery:  "What comes after Tuesday?"
Mommy:  "Wednesday comes after Tuesday."
Avery:  "No, Threesday comes after Tuesday."
Mommy smiles.

Mommy:  "Ok, mommy is gonna jump in the shower."

pr-easter.

We started our pr-easter activities this year with a visit to the big, white bunny. Avery was so brave. She protested a little, "Mommy, I wanna go that way," pointing in the opposite direction.  She avoided touching the bunny's paws, but no crying. Big girl!

On Friday night, we went over to Mimi's and Papa's to color eggs. Avery got very involved in each step of the process. She loved watching the vinegar change color,

adding water to the colored vinegar,
Papa asked, "What color do want to make the first egg?"  Can you guess Avery's answer?
Hint: She's not howling.
She loved plopping the eggs in the color cups,
and drying the final product.
A job well done.

The next morning, Avery got to see what the Easter bunny left in her basket.

Among her favorites- fingerpaint,

and a Pez bunny candy dipenser.

Now, it's time for the Easter egg hunt.
She found 'em all.
Yum!
After pr-easter at home, we headed up to Grandma's and Grandpa's for some more fun.
What would an Easter celebration be without a chocolate bunny?

Avery and her accomplice.
The big clean up before the...
Easter egg hunt.
Thanks to Avery's cousins, Dane and
Scooter for making it another fun egg hunt.
Mmmmm...
Grandma watching the fun unfold.

It was a happy pr-easter!

And, a special thank you to Uncle Chris for the "pr-easter" term.

{not just} another trip to the dentist

Most of time I would think.... a trip to the dentist?
So what. Big deal.
But this time our little girl acted just like a big girl.
There was no "knee to knee" exam today.
She sat in the chair (on mommy)
and allowed Miss Heather, the hygienist...

 to pick,

brush,

and floss her teeth.

Then, it was Avery's turn.

She even opened again and allowed Dr. Mike to check her teeth. There was no crying, no pushing or turning away. She listened and followed directions so well. It made us so proud.

It was a successful trip to the dentist.

See you in 6 months!
