a bright future.

Mimi, Papa, Mommy and Avery went to our favorite Mongolian BBQ restaurant for dinner tonight (Daddy was working). Avery loved her dinner AND the fortune cookie. It was her first fortune cookie.

I'm loving the 19 month old stage! She wore these most of the day- on our walk, in the car, around the house, into the bank....

On July 26, 2009, our world got better...

Berry pickin'

A cuter photo would have been what Sean saw a couple days ago when Avery discovered the strawberry plants in the backyard. She had the strawberry in her mouth with the whole plant, including the root ball dangling down in front of her.

Today, she was bobbing for strawberries. I couldn't quite capture the moment with my camera, but I think you can get the idea.

We love our berry lovin' little girl!

Is this normal?!

A few mornings ago (note the bed head) Avery walked up to me holding a pair of her pants, making the "uh- uh" noise like she needed help. I realized what she wanted, so I put the pants on her. She came up to me another time. I tried to reason with her that wearing two pairs of pants was enough. She had a meltdown, so another pair went on. The final count was four. Four pants.

She was satisfied.

Today, we are at two... so far.

E-I-E-I-O....

And on his farm he had Bunnies and Guinea Pigs- E-I-E-I-O. We actually went to Zoomar's petting zoo.

These pictures were taken after a few teachable moments. After a short explanation that the veggies are for the animals, I handed Avery the basket of veggies to feed them, she took out a piece of broccoli and tried to eat it. Mom intercepted. She tried again with a carrot (another block), and then again with a piece of lettuce (another block). She eventually got it! I guess that's what happens when you bring your veggie-loving daughter to the petting zoo.

All-aboard!

Avery took her first train ride by herself.

Ready!

Set!

Go!

After a couple times around the circle, she was done. The nice man stopped the train and Avery got off.

Off to the cows she went...

Then she "drove" on over to ....

.... the goats. "Hey, Avery, what does a goat say?"

It was a fun-filled day at Zoomar's!
