A "Digital Camera" Moment

My sister, Kristi and her little guy, Max came over the other day and the cutest thing happened....

Max reached his arms out, leaned in and hugged Avery without being asked by anyone. Kristi and I looked at each other with a pleasantly surprised look and both said at the same time, "Awe, how sweet." Kristi said that was Max's first "real" hug that he has given. He did it again and again. Between Project 365 and this blog I have been obsessed with capturing real life moments in pictures. Needless to say, I ran to get my camera and here's what I captured....

Um, not what I was hoping for... didn't quite capture the tender moment.

Let The Fun Begin!

Avery started swim lessons and she loves it! She loves the songs, being on her back (check out her smile), being swished in the water, and bouncing up and down. At the end of the last lesson, she even got to go down the water slide on her tummy.

It's a fun way to spend our Monday mornings!

Spring is in the air- which means a few things...

The Easter Bunny is here!

Little eggs are hatching... For those of you that don't know about Molly, don't even get started. It's addictive. Actually, it's pretty neat. A man in San Diego has put up an owl box in his yard, and an owl has made a nest, laid her eggs and now they are hatching... one by one. It's all live on a camera he has set up on the owl box.

Spending more time outside playing ball and...

hunting for lizards....

and then bringing them inside.

For most people this is not a big deal, but for me it's huge. I have an irrational fear of reptiles. I don't care how big they are. After I screamed and ran out of the kitchen, leaving my 8 month old in her highchair, I realized I couldn't leave my baby AND I needed to be productive about this situation, soooooo I called my mom to come over and get it. Well, when the poor lizard was released from the jaws of Willy, it scurried under the oven. The oven was too heavy for my mom to pull out and get to the lizard. My mom said he'll be fine; he's too scared to come out.

Absolutely not.
Not about to go on with my day knowing a lizard was under my oven.

So I called Eric, my brother-in-law. Thank the good Lord he is working from home right now. He pulled out the stove, and my mom scooped up the lizard and put it outside.

Happy Lizard. Happier Daughter!
